Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. People with allergies to the ingredients in this medication or similar drugs, pregnant women, breastfeeding women, patients with severe liver or kidney impairment, and those with certain heart conditions should not use this medication. Careful observation is necessary when administering this medication to patients who are volume or salt depleted, as blood pressure may drop too low upon initial administration. Due to its vasodilatory effects, there may be an occasional occurrence of severe hypotension, so special caution is needed for patients with heart valve disease. Patients with heart failure or coronary artery disease must use this medication with caution and follow medical instructions for administration. Patients with impaired kidney function should have regular check-ups as this medication may affect kidney function. Patients with reduced liver function may require dose adjustments and careful monitoring as the metabolism of this medication may slow. During treatment, side effects such as dizziness, headache, hypotension, cough, dyspepsia, and skin rash may occur, and patients should inform their healthcare provider of any adverse symptoms. In particular, since potassium levels may increase in the blood, patients at risk of hyperkalemia should undergo regular blood tests. This medication may interact with other antihypertensive drugs or specific medications, so patients must inform their healthcare provider of any medications they are taking. Taking this medication during pregnancy poses a serious risk to fetal health, so individuals planning to become pregnant or who are pregnant should consult a physician. Breastfeeding women are advised to discontinue either breastfeeding or taking this medication since it can be transmitted to breast milk and may affect the baby. The use of this medication is not recommended for children under 18 years of age as its safety and efficacy in this population have not been established. Elderly patients may have reduced kidney and liver function, so careful observation and adjustment of the dose are necessary, along with monitoring for side effects. In cases of overdose, hypotension and decreased cardiac function may occur, necessitating immediate medical attention.
