Precautions

This medication may cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy; therefore, treatment should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Do not use this medication in individuals allergic to any of its ingredients, those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, individuals with severe liver disease, severe aortic stenosis, bile duct obstruction, patients on renal dialysis, those in a state of shock, specific diabetes patients, or those with significantly impaired kidney function. Hypotensive patients with fluid or salt depletion may experience hypotensive symptoms upon starting this medication; therefore, their condition should be closely monitored, and proper treatment should be provided if hypotension occurs. Significant dilation of blood vessels may lead to hypotension, particularly in patients with aortic stenosis, requiring extra caution. Use in patients with severe heart disease should be approached with caution due to the increased risk of angina or myocardial infarction. Patients with compromised kidney function may experience worsening of renal function while taking this medication, necessitating regular monitoring. Patients with diminished liver function may require caution as the metabolism of this medication could slow down. During treatment, side effects such as dizziness, headaches, hypotension, edema, indigestion, and other abnormalities may occur, so patients should consult their physician if they experience any unusual symptoms. Do not take this medication during pregnancy, and promptly switch to a different safe treatment method if pregnancy is confirmed. In nursing mothers, this medication may be excreted in breast milk and cause adverse effects in infants, so either breastfeeding or the medication should be discontinued. Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients under 18 years have not been established. Use is not recommended. Geriatric patients aged 65 and older should start with a lower dose due to the possibility of decreased kidney and liver function and should be monitored closely. In cases of overdose, severe hypotension and tachycardia may occur, requiring immediate medical attention. Store this medication in a tightly sealed container, away from moisture, heat, and direct light, out of the reach of children.
