Improvement of reflux esophagitis and gastrointestinal disturbances (abdominal pain, indigestion), relief of irritable bowel syndrome, treatment of pediatric vomiting and gastrointestinal disorders.
This medication helps improve symptoms such as abdominal pain, indigestion, nausea, and vomiting caused by gastrointestinal dysfunctions like reflux esophagitis, hiatal hernia, gastritis, and ulcers. It also alleviates symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and spastic colon, and is used to treat habitual vomiting and non-infectious gastrointestinal passage disorders such as constipation and diarrhea in children. Thus, it contributes to improving the quality of life for patients with various gastrointestinal diseases.
As trimethobenzamide maleate, 100-200mg orally three times daily before meals. Adjust as appropriate according to age and symptoms.
This medication may affect the digestive system and can rarely cause constipation or diarrhea, bowel sounds, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, dry mouth, or a feeling of numbness in the mouth. Note that symptoms of rapid heartbeat may occur infrequently. It may also affect the psychiatric and nervous systems, causing fatigue, drowsiness, dizziness, lethargy, and headaches. Caution is advised for those with liver health issues, as it may affect liver function and increase liver enzyme levels. Allergic reactions, such as skin rashes, may occur rarely; if these symptoms appear, discontinue the medication and consult a doctor. The safety of this medication during pregnancy has not been fully established, so pregnant or potentially pregnant women should only use it when the benefits of treatment are deemed greater than the risks. Breastfeeding women should also avoid this medication if safety has not been established; if it is necessary, discontinuing breastfeeding is advised. This medication contains lactose, so individuals with hereditary problems digesting lactose should not take it. Particularly, those with conditions such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not use this medication.

This medication should be stored in a tightly closed container to prevent air ingress, and it is best stored at room temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius. This storage method helps maintain the medication's effectiveness for a longer duration.
