This medication is used for inflammatory diseases of joints and soft tissues such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis), and periarticular inflammation around the shoulder joint. It is also effective for pain relief from dental pain, inflammation following trauma, low back pain, sciatica, and pain caused by non-articular rheumatism. It helps reduce pain and inflammation from these conditions, improving the daily lives of patients. Therefore, it is used to treat inflammation and pain in the joints and musculoskeletal system.

How to take

Adult dose

As aceclofenac, take 100 mg twice a day every 12 hours. This medication should be taken whole without chewing or crushing. It should be adjusted according to symptoms. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions, it should be administered at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.

Precautions

This medication should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist before taking if you regularly consume more than a certain amount of alcohol daily. Otherwise, serious side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding may occur. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases; therefore, patients with heart disease or risk factors for stroke should take it cautiously. The longer the dosage and duration, the greater the risk, so it should be used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible. Serious gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations may occur, and the risk is higher in the elderly.
