This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second or third trimester of pregnancy; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients allergic to any components of this medication or similar drugs, pregnant or breastfeeding women, patients with severe liver or heart disease, or patients undergoing kidney dialysis should not take it. Patients with a deficiency in fluids or salts may experience hypotension, so close monitoring of their condition is required during the initial dosage, and appropriate actions should be taken if hypotension is observed. There is a risk of severe hypotension due to sudden dilation of blood vessels, particularly in patients with aortic stenosis, who should exercise caution. Patients with weakened hearts should be closely monitored for worsening of heart failure symptoms while taking this medication. Patients with impaired kidney function may have their kidney function affected by this medication, so regular kidney function tests should be conducted. Patients with reduced liver function may experience delayed metabolism of this medication, requiring caution during use. Common side effects may include dizziness, headache, hypotension, edema, dyspepsia, rash, etc.; if any unusual symptoms occur, consult a healthcare professional. Interactions may occur when this medication is taken with other drugs, so it is essential to inform healthcare providers of any other medications being taken. Especially, grapefruit juice can excessively enhance the blood pressure-lowering effect, so it is advisable to avoid it. This medication should not be used during pregnancy unless necessary, and if pregnancy is being planned or confirmed, prompt consultation with a healthcare provider is advised. Nursing women should either discontinue breastfeeding or this medication, as it may be transmitted through breast milk. Children under 18 years should refrain from taking this medication as its safety and efficacy have not been established for this age group. Elderly patients, who may have decreased liver, kidney, or heart function, should start on a lower dose and be observed carefully. In cases of overdose, blood pressure may be excessively low or heart rate may increase; immediate medical attention is necessary for appropriate treatment. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and stored away from moisture, heat, and direct sunlight.
