This medication should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist if the patient regularly consumes three or more alcoholic beverages daily, as taking it with alcohol can increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases and severe problems like myocardial infarction or stroke. These risks can increase depending on the dosage and duration of use, so it should be used at the lowest possible dose and for the shortest duration. It may also affect the gastrointestinal tract, potentially leading to serious issues such as gastric ulcers, bleeding, and perforation. Caution is especially needed for the elderly or those with a history of gastrointestinal disease, and if gastrointestinal symptoms occur, immediate medical attention should be sought. This medication should not be used in patients with a history of certain allergies or severe liver, kidney disease, heart failure, inflammatory bowel disease, pregnant or breastfeeding women. Additionally, patients with certain genetic metabolic disorders should not take it. Patients with liver or kidney problems, as well as those with diseases such as hypertension, asthma, heart failure, and diabetes, should use this medication cautiously and follow regular testing as directed by a physician. While taking this medication, side effects such as headache, indigestion, vomiting, dizziness, skin rash, edema, hypertension (including worsening), cough, gastric ulcers, dental issues, liver enzyme elevation, peripheral edema, facial swelling, flu-like symptoms, damage, upper respiratory infections, sinusitis, pharyngitis, rhinitis, bronchitis, skin rash, hair loss, angioedema, thrombocytopenia, and anemia may occur, so any abnormal symptoms should be reported to healthcare professionals immediately. This medication may interact with other medications, so should be reported to a doctor, especially when taking antihypertensives, anticoagulants, diuretics, antidepressants, or anticancer drugs. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take this medication, and if pregnancy is confirmed during use, it should be discontinued immediately and a doctor consulted. The elderly should take extra caution as they may have reduced liver and kidney function and should start at the lowest effective dose. During treatment, regular blood tests, liver, and kidney function tests should be conducted to monitor for abnormalities, and if dizziness or drowsiness occurs, driving or operating machinery should be avoided. Overdose may cause vomiting, lethargy, abdominal pain, and in severe cases, renal failure or respiratory depression.
