This medication is used for various inflammatory and degenerative joint diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis), and periarticular inflammation around the scapula-humeral joint. It is also effective for pain relief from toothaches, inflammation due to trauma, low back pain, sciatica, and it helps reduce pain caused by non-articular rheumatism, assisting patients in their daily lives. It is used for managing various musculoskeletal diseases and pain.

How to take

Adult dose

Administer 100 mg of aceclofenac every 12 hours in divided doses. This medication should be taken as is, without chewing or crushing. Adjust the dosage as needed based on symptoms. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions, it should be administered at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.

Precautions

Patients who regularly consume three or more alcoholic drinks a day must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication, as drinking heavily while on this drug may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Those with cardiovascular risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, or smoking should carefully consult a doctor before taking this medication. This medication should be taken at the minimum dose for the shortest duration necessary, and cardiovascular symptoms should be monitored periodically during treatment. Serious gastrointestinal issues such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, or perforation may occur; thus, caution is especially needed for the elderly or those with a history of gastrointestinal disorders when taking this medication. Patients with active gastric ulcers or bleeding, allergies to this medication or similar drugs, severe heart failure, or impaired kidney and liver function, pregnant women in their late stages, and nursing mothers should not take this medication.
