This medicine is effective for various joint diseases such as chronic polyarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It also helps alleviate pain, swelling, and inflammation after wounds or surgeries. It serves as an adjuvant therapy for infections accompanied by inflammation, pain, and fever. This medication is used to improve these symptoms, thereby enhancing the quality of life of patients.

How to take

Adult dose

As dexibuprofen, take 300 mg once, 2 to 4 times daily. However, do not exceed 1,200 mg of dexibuprofen in one day.

Precautions

Patients who regularly consume more than 3 alcoholic drinks per day should consult their doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. Heavy drinkers may have an increased risk of gastrointestinal bleeding when taking this medication. This medication may affect the cardiovascular system and increase the risk of serious thromboembolism such as heart attack and stroke. Those with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors should be particularly cautious and closely monitor symptoms with their doctor. This medication may burden the gastrointestinal tract and cause serious gastrointestinal issues such as gastric ulcers, bleeding, or perforation. Special caution should be taken during usage, especially among the elderly or long-term users. Patients with gastric ulcers or bleeding, severe liver or kidney disease, severe heart failure, or severe hypertension should not take this medication. Additionally, those with allergies to this medication or its ingredients or a history of asthma should avoid it. The risk of serious side effects may increase when this medication is taken with aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, so it is advisable not to use them together. Caution is also advised when taken with high doses of methotrexate. During treatment, breastfeeding should be discontinued or consulted with a physician, as dizziness or fatigue may occur, necessitating caution when driving or operating machinery. After 20 weeks of pregnancy, this medication may affect fetal kidney function, so it should only be used at the minimum dose when absolutely necessary and amniotic fluid status should be monitored regularly.
