This drug is used for the treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and gastroesophageal reflux disease. It also helps prevent Mendelson's syndrome during preoperative anesthesia and manages ulcers post-surgery. It is also indicated for ulcers caused by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is effective in improving various gastric mucosal lesions, including acute exacerbations of acute and chronic gastritis, upper gastrointestinal bleeding, and more. This drug can also be used to relieve heartburn and acid regurgitation due to excessive gastric acid. Overall, it is a very useful drug for improving gastric acid-related diseases and gastric mucosal damage.

How to take

Adult dose

Precautions

This drug should not be used in patients who are allergic to specific components or have a history of acute porphyria. In patients with impaired kidney function, the concentration of this drug may increase, requiring dosage adjustment, and caution is also needed in patients with liver dysfunction or the elderly. Care should be exercised when taking this drug with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and patients with gastric ulcers or those over middle age who newly present with dyspeptic symptoms should use the drug only after excluding the possibility of gastric cancer. This drug may cause allergic reactions such as urticaria, rash, and difficulty breathing, so if any unusual symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately. Blood abnormalities, liver dysfunction, arrhythmias, gastrointestinal issues, neurological symptoms, and other various side effects may occur rarely; if symptoms arise, consult a medical professional. If dizziness or drowsiness occurs during use, it is advisable to avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery. There may be interactions with other drugs, so if you are taking any medications, be sure to inform your healthcare provider, especially when taking anticoagulants, as frequent blood tests are necessary. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should exercise caution while using this drug as it can be transmitted through the placenta and breast milk.
