This medication is used to treat various inflammatory diseases around and inside the eye, including blepharitis, conjunctivitis, keratitis, scleritis, iritis, uveitis, and postoperative inflammation.

How to apply drops

Adult eye dose

Instill 1-2 drops 2-4 times a day. Adjust dosage according to symptoms.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with viral keratitis or conjunctivitis, fungal eye diseases, mycobacterial infections, or chronic blepharitis. Additionally, patients with a history of allergic reactions to this medication should not receive it. Patients with damaged corneal epithelium or corneal ulcers, patients with tuberculous or purulent eye diseases, glaucoma patients, and children under 2 years should use this medication cautiously and ideally avoid it. Long-term use of this medication may increase intraocular pressure leading to glaucoma or optic nerve damage; therefore, regular intraocular pressure checks are necessary. There is also a risk of worsening corneal infections or ulcers, and cataracts may rarely develop. Extended use may weaken the immune system, increasing the risk of secondary infections. If inflammation or pain persists or worsens for more than 48 hours, the use should be immediately discontinued, and a physician should be consulted. When wearing contact lenses, they should be removed before applying the medication and can be replaced at least 30 minutes after application. Temporary blurring of vision may occur while applying the medication; therefore, driving or operating hazardous machinery should be avoided until vision returns to normal. Severe symptoms may arise if infection with chickenpox or measles occurs while using this medication, so it is essential to check the history of chickenpox or measles and vaccination status before use, and special caution should be taken in the case of infection risks. This medication may have increased effects when used with certain other drugs, so if taking other medications, it is essential to inform the physician or pharmacist. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should avoid long-term use of this medication, and nursing mothers should either avoid its use or discontinue breastfeeding. Particular caution is advised when administering this medication to children or the elderly; this medication is for ophthalmic use only, and care should be taken to avoid direct contact of the container opening with the eye. Before use, it should be shaken well, and it is advisable not to share it with others to prevent contamination. Finally, this medication should be stored out of the reach of children in a cool place, away from direct sunlight, and should not be transferred to other containers.

Decreased vision, visual field defects, increased intraocular pressure, corneal herpes, fungal keratitis, Pseudomonas infection, corneal ulcers, posterior capsule cataract, secondary eye infections, acute uveitis, keratitis, conjunctivitis, mydriasis, conjunctival hyperemia, accommodation paralysis, ptosis, corneal calcification, delayed wound healing, delayed wound healing after cataract surgery, increased blister formation, suppression of pituitary-adrenal function, hypersensitivity reactions.

Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.

Storage

This medication may be sensitive to air or moisture, so it should be stored in a tightly sealed container. It is recommended to maintain a storage temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius room temperature. Doing so will help maintain the medication's effectiveness.
