Exdipin Tablet 5/80 mg

Adult dose

The recommended dose of this medication is one tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time every day (e.g., morning). Dosages of 5/80 mg, 5/160 mg, and 10/160 mg are administered based on patients whose blood pressure is not controlled by amlodipine or valsartan monotherapy. Dose adjustment and caution are necessary in patients with renal or liver impairment. For those over 65 years of age.

Child dose

Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established; therefore, administration of this medication is not recommended.

This medication can cause serious harm or fetal death in case of administration during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy; therefore, it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Patients with allergies to the active ingredients or similar components, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and those with severe kidney or liver dysfunction should not take this medication. Patients with sodium or fluid deficiencies need to correct their condition before taking this medication, and if symptoms of hypotension occur during treatment, they should be laid down immediately and receive fluid therapy if necessary. In cases of hyperkalemia or when using medications that can increase potassium levels, potassium levels should be checked regularly. The use of this medication is not recommended for patients with renal artery stenosis or recent kidney transplant patients, and treatment should be stopped immediately if angioedema symptoms arise. Patients with heart failure or after myocardial infarction should be closely monitored for changes in kidney function while taking this medication, as angina symptoms may worsen in acute myocardial infarction patients, requiring cautious use. Caution is needed while driving or operating machinery as dizziness or fatigue may occur. When used in combination with other antihypertensives, there may be an increased risk of hypotension, kidney function deterioration, and hyperkalemia; therefore, it is advisable to consult healthcare professionals if taking other medications. In case of overdose, symptoms of hypotension and dizziness may occur, and appropriate medical treatment should be sought if necessary. This medication is not recommended for children under 18 years of age, as its safety and efficacy have not been sufficiently established. For the elderly, it can be administered in doses similar to those for adults; however, careful observation for adverse reactions during treatment is required.
