Additionally, those with orthostatic hypotension may experience worsened symptoms and should avoid this medication. Patients with severely impaired liver function may need to exercise caution as this medication can increase blood concentration. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take this medication. This medication contains lactose, so individuals with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should avoid taking it. Patients with severe renal dysfunction, the elderly, and those taking certain medications should use this medication cautiously. Particularly, those taking antihypertensives, PDE5 inhibitors, CYP3A4 inhibitors, or alpha1-blockers should be aware that interactions may increase the risk of side effects. Individuals with a history of micturition fainting should also use this medication cautiously. This medication can cause various side effects such as dizziness, low blood pressure, palpitations, headache, drowsiness, skin rash, and gastrointestinal disturbances. In severe cases, fainting or loss of consciousness may occur, so if these symptoms appear, discontinue the medication immediately and consult healthcare professionals. Additionally, serious side effects such as priapism have been reported, so prompt treatment is necessary if such symptoms occur. Overdose of this medication can lead to excessively low blood pressure, so it is essential to adhere to the prescribed dose. Dizziness may occur upon standing during treatment, so it is advisable to change positions slowly. While this medication helps alleviate symptoms, it does not treat the underlying cause, so if symptoms do not improve, other treatment methods should be considered. Be cautious when engaging in hazardous activities such as driving or working at heights, as there is a risk of accidents due to dizziness or drowsiness. This medication should be taken whole without chewing or crushing, especially capsules should not be opened or chewed. Keep this medication out of reach of children, and avoid transferring it to another container for safety. Animal studies during pregnancy have not reported special harm to the fetus, but safety has not been established for pregnant women; thus, it is advisable not to use it.
