This drug improves symptoms caused by atherosclerosis in adult patients with ischemic stroke, myocardial infarction, or peripheral arterial disease. Additionally, it helps to alleviate symptoms by reducing the risk of death, myocardial infarction, stroke, and other cardiovascular complications in adult patients with acute coronary syndrome. Furthermore, it plays a role in lowering the risk of stroke and thromboembolism in patients with atrial fibrillation who have vascular risk factors and for whom vitamin K antagonists are unsuitable. It is a drug that helps improve symptoms and reduce risks in various cardiovascular diseases, thus aiding patients' health.

When taking this medication, patients with genetically reduced function of specific enzymes may experience diminished efficacy; therefore, treatment options should be discussed with a physician. Moreover, combining this drug with certain medications may alter its effects or increase the risk of bleeding, so caution is advised when co-administering. Due to the risk of bleeding, this drug should not be administered to patients with ongoing bleeding or those at high risk of bleeding, nor to patients with severe hepatic impairment or nursing women. If any symptoms of bleeding or adverse reactions occur during treatment, it is crucial to inform a doctor immediately. If surgery is planned, it is necessary to inform the physician beforehand and discontinue medication. This medication may cause various side effects such as hematological anomalies, gastrointestinal disturbances, and skin rashes, so patients should consult medical professionals if any abnormal symptoms arise. Particularly in elderly patients or those with impaired renal or liver function, administration should be approached with caution and dosage adjustments may be necessary.
