This medication is used for gastrointestinal diseases such as ulcers occurring in the stomach and duodenum, gastritis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and gastroesophageal reflux disease. It is also administered to prevent Mendelson's syndrome before anesthesia, and it helps treat ulcers that may occur after surgery. It is effective in preventing and treating ulcers in the stomach and duodenum caused by the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It contributes to alleviating symptoms of various gastrointestinal diseases and restoring normal gastrointestinal function.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

For adults, usually administer 2 tablets orally twice a day, regardless of meals, in the morning and before bedtime. 1) Gastric and duodenal ulcers: Administer 2 tablets twice a day or 4 tablets once daily before bedtime. Precautions

This medicine should not be used by patients with poor kidney function or undergoing dialysis. Additionally, it should not be administered to patients who have had allergic reactions to this medicine or its components, those with a history of acute porphyria, patients who have undergone upper gastrointestinal surgery, pregnant women or women who may become pregnant, premature infants and newborns, and patients who need to restrict potassium intake. Patients with liver function problems or a history of drug allergic reactions, elderly patients, those with a history of kidney disorders, and patients taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should be observed carefully when using this medicine. Especially since it can mask symptoms of stomach cancer, patients with gastric ulcers or middle-aged and older patients with newly occurring dyspeptic symptoms must confirm that it is not a malignant disease before administration. During the treatment with this medicine, rare cases of skin rash, hives, difficulty breathing, blood abnormalities, liver function abnormalities, digestive issues, neurological symptoms, etc. may occur, so if any abnormal symptoms arise, notify healthcare professionals immediately. Long-term use should be avoided, and regular blood tests along with liver and kidney function tests are recommended during treatment. If dizziness or drowsiness occurs, it is advisable to avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery, and since drug interactions may occur, inform your doctor of any medications you are taking. It is safe to avoid using this medicine during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and it is not recommended for children as safety and efficacy have not been established. In case of overdose, emergency treatment such as vomiting or gastric lavage may be necessary, so caution is needed. This medicine reduces gastric acid secretion and may promote bacterial growth in the gastrointestinal tract, so periodic check-ups, including eye examinations, may be required with long-term use.
