This medication should not be used by individuals allergic to this drug or any of its ingredients. It is advised to avoid this medication if there are thyroid function issues, especially in individuals with nodular goiter or Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Patients with reduced kidney function or children under 2 years of age should also not use this medication. Patients with herpes dermatitis or those undergoing radioactive iodine treatment or are in the pre- or post-treatment phase should not use this medication. During the use of this medication, patients undergoing lithium treatment or using chlorhexidine, sulfonamides, silver compounds, alkali, or mercury-containing medications should not use it together. The effectiveness of this medication may decrease if used in conjunction with enzyme-containing wound treatments, hydrogen peroxide, taurolidine, tannic acid, acetylsalicylic acid, bismuth, among others, so these should not be used simultaneously. Severe patients, those with a history of thyroid disease, or a history of renal failure, as well as pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. If allergic reactions such as difficulty breathing, hives, or severe itching occur during use, stop using immediately and seek medical attention. If pain, rash, redness, ulceration, discoloration, etc., occur on the skin, stop using this medication and consult a professional. Caution is necessary as excessive use may lead to electrolyte abnormalities or renal impairment. Long-term use may result in changes in thyroid function, so regular monitoring of the condition is necessary. If used shortly before delivery, wash the newborn's eyes thoroughly and bathe to prevent the drug from adhering. This medication falls under conservative treatment, so if symptoms do not improve, surgical treatment should be considered. When used for extensive burn patients, adequate hydration and monitoring of renal function is essential. This medication may affect thyroid diagnostic tests, so a minimum gap of 4 weeks should be maintained between testing and administration. Caution should be taken during pregnancy or in newborns as iodine absorption may affect thyroid function. Be careful not to get it in the eyes, and if it does occur, rinse immediately with clean water. This medication should not be mixed with other formulations, and the affected area should be cleaned and disinfected before use. If spilled on clothing, wash immediately, as soaps may reduce the antimicrobial effect, requiring removal before use.
