Precautions

This medication may cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take it. It should also not be used in patients with a history of allergic reactions to this drug, severe liver disorders, hereditary angioedema, primary hyperaldosteronism, and certain other diseases. Elderly individuals, patients with impaired kidney function, those with hyperkalemia, or patients at risk of sudden drops in blood pressure should use this medication cautiously and should regularly monitor blood pressure and undergo blood tests as directed by a physician. As this drug lowers blood pressure, symptoms of hypotension (such as dizziness and loss of consciousness) may occur, and if such symptoms appear, immediate consultation with a physician is required. During treatment, potassium supplements or potassium-containing foods should not be taken without consulting a physician, and all medications currently being taken should be communicated to healthcare providers due to possible interactions. This medication can affect liver and kidney function, so patients with liver or kidney diseases should be regularly tested and should inform healthcare providers immediately if any abnormal symptoms occur. Use is not recommended for children, particularly those under 6 years old or those with severely impaired kidney function. Caution should be exercised during activities that require attention, such as driving or operating machinery, as dizziness or drowsiness may occur. In case of overdose, it may cause excessively low blood pressure and irregular heartbeat, so immediate emergency treatment should be sought if suspected. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and should not be transferred to other containers.
