Treatment of dermatophyte infections (tinea pedis, tinea corporis, etc.), as well as tinea versicolor and cutaneous candidiasis
This medication is used to treat dermatophyte infections such as tinea pedis, tinea cruris, and tinea corporis caused by fungi like Trichophyton, Microsporum, and Epidermophyton. It is also effective against tinea versicolor caused by Pityrosporum orbiculare and cutaneous candidiasis. It is used to improve these fungal infections.
Apply to the affected area 1 to 2 times a day. For tinea pedis, treat once daily for one week. For intertriginous tinea pedis, treat twice daily for one week. For plantar tinea pedis, treat twice daily for two weeks. For tinea corporis and tinea cruris, treat once or twice daily for 1 to 2 weeks. For cutaneous candidiasis, treat once or twice daily for 1 to 2 weeks. For tinea versicolor, treat once or twice daily for 2 weeks.
This medicine should not be used by individuals who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its components. It is safest for women who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding not to use this medicine. This medication should not be used in children. If a rash develops on the skin or an allergic reaction occurs while using this medicine, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Additionally, if the skin is severely irritated or symptoms worsen, stop using the medication immediately and consult a professional. If symptoms such as hives, redness, itching, irritation, inflammation, skin peeling, wound scabbing, pigmentation changes, pain, or burning sensation occur, stop using the medication. When using this medicine, it is recommended not to use sealed bandages or packaging methods without a doctor's instruction. If this medicine is ineffective, you need to be tested for other fungal infections and receive appropriate treatment. If there is a candidal infection, avoid using acidic soaps. While applying to intact skin has a lower risk of systemic side effects, caution is necessary when applying to wound areas, large areas, or in infants. If this medicine is accidentally ingested, activated charcoal should be administered to remove the active ingredient, and treatment according to the symptoms should be provided if necessary. This medicine is an external topical agent and should be used carefully to avoid contact with the eyes or ocular surfaces. If it gets into the eye, it may cause irritation, so it should be rinsed thoroughly with a large amount of water. It is safe not to use it on the nails, scalp, around the mouth, or vaginal area. There have been reports of slight phototoxicity in animal studies, so caution should be exercised when using it on areas exposed to sunlight for extended periods. This medicine should be kept out of the reach of children and stored tightly closed in its original container. Transferring to another container may lead to misuse or reduced quality.
