Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. Do not take if you are allergic to the active ingredients or similar drug classes, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have severe kidney or liver disease. Patients who are depleted of sodium or fluids may experience low blood pressure, so pre-treatment status should be carefully confirmed, and blood pressure and symptoms should be closely monitored during treatment. Patients with high potassium levels or impaired kidney function should regularly check their potassium levels and take this medication with caution. Patients with renal vascular issues or those who have recently undergone kidney transplantation should closely monitor their renal function while taking this medication. If symptoms of angioedema such as swelling of the face, lips, or tongue occur, treatment should be stopped immediately and medical consultation should be sought. Patients with heart failure or those recovering from myocardial infarction should carefully monitor renal function with this medication, as heart failure may worsen, necessitating regular checks. As this medication lowers blood pressure, if symptoms of hypotension occur, patients should be laid down and may require intravenous treatment if necessary. Patients should be cautious of dizziness or fatigue when driving or operating machinery. There may be interactions with other drugs, so patients should inform healthcare professionals, especially if taking potassium supplements, diuretics, certain antibiotics, or anti-inflammatory drugs. This medication is not recommended for children under 18 years of age as safety and efficacy have not been adequately established. In case of overdose, severe hypotension or cardiac issues may occur, so adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage and seek medical attention immediately if any abnormal symptoms arise.
