It helps relieve pain caused by osteoarthritis and enhances the range of motion, contributing to an improved quality of life for patients.

Additionally, patients with bowel obstruction syndromes or unexplained abdominal pain should avoid this medication. Those who are allergic to this drug, any of its components, or Rhein-class drugs should not be given this medication. It is also advisable for patients with liver disease or a history of liver disease to avoid using this medication. Children under 15 years of age should not use this medication. Furthermore, as this medication contains lactose, it should not be administered to patients with genetic disorders that prevent lactose digestion. This medication should be used cautiously in patients with previous small or large intestine problems. Women who are pregnant or nursing should be careful when taking this medication. Elderly individuals over 65 years should use a reduced dose. Those who are allergic to or have hypersensitivity to the colorant Yellow No. 5 should also use this medication with caution. While taking this medication, gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, loose stools, and abdominal pain may occur. Long-term use may lead to serious issues such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, or perforations, so caution is needed. If diarrhea is severe, dehydration or electrolyte imbalances may occur, and if symptoms arise, consult a doctor immediately. Symptoms such as skin itching, rash, or eczema may also commonly occur. Since this medication may affect liver function, liver enzyme levels may rise, and in such cases, adherence to a doctor's instructions is essential. When taking this medication long-term, it is critical to follow a doctor's instructions. If diarrhea occurs, use should be discontinued, and medical advice should be sought. Due to the possibility of liver damage, care should be taken when using this medication alongside other medications that may burden the liver, and alcohol consumption is also advisable to limit. If symptoms of liver dysfunction appear, use should be stopped immediately and medical personnel consulted. This medication may impair absorption when taken with antacids containing calcium, magnesium, or aluminum or with salts, so it is recommended to space these medications at least 2 hours apart. When taken with diuretics, diuretic effect may be enhanced, leading to dehydration or hypokalemia, so caution is needed. The risk of arrhythmia may increase when taken with cardiac glycosides, therefore medical consultation is mandatory. During pregnancy, animal studies suggest potential effects on fetal bone formation, making it advisable for pregnant and nursing women to avoid this medication. Since trace amounts of the drug may pass into breast milk, nursing women are also encouraged to avoid its use. In case of overdose, severe diarrhea may occur, and necessary treatments, including electrolyte replenishment, should be sought.
