This medication is used for various arthritis conditions such as chronic polyarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, along with arthralgia and ankylosing spondylitis. It also helps reduce pain, swelling, and inflammation caused by trauma or postoperative conditions, and assists in the treatment of infections accompanied by inflammation, pain, and fever. Overall, it is used to improve symptoms associated with various inflammation-related diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

Administer 300 mg of dexibuprofen orally 2 to 4 times a day. However, do not exceed 1,200 mg of dexibuprofen in one day.

Precautions

This drug may pose a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding if taken by individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day; therefore, it should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist. This medication can affect the cardiovascular system and may increase the risk of severe thrombotic events such as myocardial infarction or stroke. Caution is particularly advised for individuals with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors, and it is essential to consult a physician promptly if any cardiovascular symptoms arise during use. Moreover, this medication can burden the gastrointestinal tract, potentially causing serious gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as bleeding, ulcers, and perforation. It is safer not to take this medication for individuals with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding, severe liver or kidney impairment, heart failure, hypertension, or asthma. During treatment, it should not be used concomitantly with aspirin, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or high-dose methotrexate, as it may increase the risk of side effects. While taking this medication, breastfeeding should be discontinued or discussed with a physician, and caution should be exercised while driving or operating machinery due to possible dizziness or fatigue. Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take this medication with aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Do not use in combination with high doses (more than 15 mg/week) of methotrexate used for chemotherapy. Use caution with corticosteroids, alcohol, digoxin, phenytoin, probenecid, sulfinpyrazone, sulfonylureas, ACE inhibitors, angiotensin II receptor antagonists, diuretics, lithium, and anticoagulants of the coumarin type (such as warfarin).

Store this medicine in a tightly closed container to prevent exposure to air or moisture, and it is recommended to keep it at room temperature between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius.
