Precautions

This medicine should not be used by individuals who are allergic to this medicine or its ingredients. In addition, it should not be used by children under the age of 1. During use of this medicine, it is advisable not to use it in conjunction with other eye drops. When taking Ketotifen Fumarate orally, the effect may be increased if taken with central nervous system depressants, antihistamines, or alcohol. Additionally, when used in combination with oral diet pills, there may be a temporary risk of a decrease in platelet count. After instilling this medication in the eyes, vision may be blurred, making it necessary to avoid driving or operating machinery until vision is clear. Also, drowsiness or sedation may rarely occur, and caution is needed in such cases. Individuals receiving medical treatment or undergoing allergy treatment, or those who have experienced allergic reactions due to medication in the past should consult with a professional before use. The same applies in cases of eye itchiness and pain or if it is uncertain whether symptoms are due to allergy. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult with a professional before use. If eye redness, irritation, or itchiness persists during use, or if eyelid inflammation occurs, use should be discontinued immediately, and a consultation with a professional should be sought. If blurred vision continues, symptoms worsen, or if there is no improvement after more than 1 week of use, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. While using this medicine, local irritations such as transient burning, redness, swelling, and itching may occur. It is important to adhere to the prescribed dosage and dose, and remember that this is an eye drop intended for use only in the eyes. Care should be taken to avoid the tip of the dropper touching the eyelid or eyelashes, and if the solution becomes cloudy or contaminated, it should not be used. Additionally, it is advisable not to share with others. When using it with other eye drops, a minimum interval of 5 minutes should be maintained between uses. If this medication is accidentally ingested orally, there is little cause for concern as the dosage is very minimal for overdose risks. The preservative benzalkonium chloride included in this medication can adhere to soft contact lenses, so it should not be used while wearing lenses. Lenses should be inserted at least 15 minutes after administration. When storing, it should be kept in a tightly sealed container to prevent exposure to air or moisture. It is advisable to maintain a storage temperature between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius.
