Precautions

This medication is an eye drop containing sodium hyaluronate as its active ingredient, intended for use in the eyes. Patients with allergies to the ingredients or protein-based drugs should not use this medication. While using this medication, symptoms such as eyelid itching, eye irritation, conjunctivitis, redness, and corneal damage may occur. If any of these symptoms occur, it is important to stop using the medication immediately and consult a doctor. Additionally, rare hypersensitivity reactions such as eye discharge, eye pain, blepharitis, and dermatitis of the eyelids may occur, so caution is advised. This medication may have increased adverse reactions when used in conjunction with steroids, dry eye treatments, antibiotics, glaucoma medications, antihistamines, cataract medications, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics, so consultation with a doctor is necessary. This medication contains a phosphate additive, which may rarely cause corneal calcification in patients with severe corneal damage. It is best not to use it simultaneously with other eye drops; if it must be used together, a gap of about 30 minutes between applications is recommended. This medication is intended for use only in the eyes; care should be taken to avoid contact of the container tip with the eyelids or eyelashes. If the container becomes contaminated, the medication may become cloudy, and cloudy medication should not be used. The preservative benzalkonium chloride can adsorb onto soft contact lenses, so it should not be used while wearing lenses, and lenses should be inserted at least 15 minutes after use. It is advisable not to share this medication, and it should be kept out of reach of children. Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight and in a tightly sealed container; it is recommended not to transfer it to another container. Any remaining medication should be discarded after 4 weeks from opening.
