Improvement of epithelial damage of the conjunctiva (endogenous and exogenous)
This medication is used to treat epithelial damage of the conjunctiva resulting from endogenous conditions such as Sjögren's syndrome, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, and dry eye syndrome, as well as exogenous epithelial damage of the conjunctiva caused by surgery, medication use, trauma, and contact lens wear.
Instill 1 drop of 0.1% or 0.3% preparation 5 to 6 times a day. Adjust as appropriate according to symptoms. Typically, the 0.1% preparation is used, and if the effect is insufficient for severe conditions, the 0.3% preparation is used. Any remaining liquid and the container should be discarded immediately after use. (Applicable for single-use products)
This medication should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to protein-based medications or any of the components of this medication. Adverse reactions such as itching, irritation, redness, inflammation, discharge, and pain in the eyes may occur, so if any of these symptoms arise, discontinue use immediately and seek appropriate treatment. Do not use this medication simultaneously with other eye drops; if other eye drops have been used, this medication should only be used at least 30 minutes later. It should be used for eye dropping only, and care should be taken to avoid contact of the tip of the container with the eyelid or eyelashes. If the container becomes contaminated, the solution may also become contaminated, so it must be kept clean. The benzalkonium chloride preservative contained may adhere to soft contact lenses, so it should be avoided during lens wear, and lenses may be worn only after at least 15 minutes have passed after using this medication. Single-use products should be used immediately after opening, and any remaining medication should be discarded; avoiding sharing is safest. Store out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool place. Additionally, to maintain quality, do not transfer the liquid to other containers.
Eyelid itching, eye irritation, conjunctivitis, redness, conjunctival hyperemia, surface corneal disorders such as diffuse superficial keratitis, foreign body sensation, eye discharge, eye pain, eyelid dermatitis, eyelid skin inflammation.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
If the medication is multi-dose, store in a sealed container to prevent air from entering, at room temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius. If it is single-use, it can be stored in a sealed container within the same temperature range. Storing this way will maintain the medication's effectiveness and allow for safe use.
