It is also effective in treating bursitis, musculoskeletal disorders, low back pain, postoperative pain, migraines, and pain after tooth extraction. This medication helps improve various inflammatory and painful conditions.

How to take

Adult dose

1. Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis: Administer 250-500 mg of naproxen orally twice a day (every 12 hours). 2. Acute gout: Administer an initial dose of 750 mg orally and then 250 mg every 8 hours until the attack resolves. 3. Musculoskeletal disorders, postoperative pain, pain after tooth extraction, dysmenorrhea, tendinitis, bursitis: After an initial dose of 500 mg administered orally, continue with 250 mg every 6-8 hours, ensuring the total daily dose does not exceed 1250 mg.

Precautions

This medication may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding in individuals who regularly consume three or more alcoholic beverages daily, so consulting a physician or pharmacist is essential. This medicine can increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases, potentially leading to serious issues such as myocardial infarction or stroke, thus caution is necessary for those with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors. Serious gastrointestinal side effects like gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, or perforations may occur, and patients who are elderly or have a history of gastrointestinal diseases should be closely monitored for symptoms while taking this medication. Patients with a history of peptic ulcers, severe blood disorders, liver dysfunction, heart failure, kidney impairment, hypertension, and those with hypersensitivity to this medication or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should not take this medication. Those with a history of peptic ulcers, blood disorders, bleeding tendencies, liver dysfunction, kidney impairment, heart function disorders, hypertension, allergic history, asthma, autoimmune diseases, and the elderly should take this medication with caution, as should those allergic to Tartrazine. Adverse reactions including allergic reactions, gastrointestinal bleeding, blood abnormalities, liver dysfunction, kidney impairment, neurological disturbances, and skin reactions may occur; if symptoms arise, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. This medication should be used at the minimum effective dose and for the shortest duration necessary, and patients should be closely monitored for adverse reactions during treatment for chronic or acute conditions. Combining this medication with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or specific medications may increase the risk of side effects, so it is crucial to inform your physician of any other medications being taken. During pregnancy, especially in the third trimester, this medication may harm the fetus and should be avoided; it is also advisable for breastfeeding women not to take this medication. The safety of this medication for children, particularly infants under two years old, has not been established, so it is not recommended; older adults are at higher risk for side effects and should start with a small dose cautiously. In cases of overdose, symptoms like drowsiness, dyspepsia, and vomiting may occur, and appropriate treatment should be sought immediately if such symptoms are experienced. Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take this medication with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or derivatives of naproxen. Phenytoin-class antiepileptic drugs, sulfonamides, sulfonylurea blood glucose-lowering agents, propranolol and other beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors (e.g., captopril), loop and thiazide diuretics, probenecid, aspirin, lithium, methotrexate, coumarin-type anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin), zidovudine, and quinolone antibiotics (e.g., enoxacin).
