This medication is used to treat epithelial disorders of the conjunctiva caused by endogenous diseases such as Sjögren's syndrome, mucous membrane syndrome (Stevens-Johnson syndrome), and dry eye syndrome, as well as exogenous epithelial disorders resulting from surgery, drug side effects, trauma, and contact lens wear.

How to apply drops

Adult eye dose

0.1%, 0.3% preparations: Instill 1 drop at a time, 5-6 times a day. Adjust dosage appropriately according to symptoms. Typically, the 0.1% preparation is administered, and in cases where the effect is insufficient in severe conditions, the 0.3% preparation is administered.

Precautions

This medication is for eye use only. Patients who are allergic to the ingredients of this medication or to protein-based drugs should not use it. Symptoms such as eyelid itching, eye irritation, conjunctivitis, redness, and keratitis may occur, and if such symptoms develop, use should be discontinued immediately and appropriate treatment should be sought. Rarely, hypersensitivity reactions such as blepharitis or dermatitis may occur, so caution is required. When using this medication with other eye-related medications, adverse reactions may occur more frequently, so other eye drops should be used at least 30 minutes before using this medication. This medication must be used only in the eyes, and care should be taken to prevent the tip of the container from touching the eyelids or eyelashes. For single-use products, the first 1-2 drops should be discarded before use, and any remaining medication should be discarded immediately after opening. The medication should be stored out of the reach of children in a cool place away from direct sunlight, and it should not be transferred to another container.
