This medication is used for patients who need to take amlodipine and atorvastatin simultaneously. Amlodipine treats symptoms of cardiac ischemia due to hypertension and angina, particularly stable and variant angina, and reduces the risk of hospitalization for patients with coronary artery disease and the risk related to vascular procedures. Atorvastatin decreases the risk of myocardial infarction and stroke in patients with risk factors for cardiovascular diseases and also lowers the risk of hospitalization due to vascular procedures, congestive heart failure, and angina. Additionally, it improves lipid levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia and can be used in patients with hyperlipidemia unresponsive to dietary therapy. This medication effectively improves cardiovascular health by managing both blood pressure and blood lipid levels.
