Improvement in blood pressure control in essential hypertension through the combination of amlodipine and valsartan
This medication is used to effectively lower blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy with amlodipine or valsartan.
The recommended dose is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is advised to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning) if possible.
Safety and efficacy for pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established; therefore, administration of this medication is not recommended.
This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so treatment should be stopped immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. It should not be used in individuals with an allergy to this drug, pregnant or breastfeeding women, patients with severe kidney or liver disease, or certain heart disease patients. Patients with insufficient sodium or body fluids may experience low blood pressure; their condition should be assessed before use and taken under medical supervision. Patients with high potassium levels or those taking medications that may increase potassium should have their blood potassium levels monitored frequently. Patients with renal artery issues or those who have recently received a kidney transplant should be cautious as there is a risk of worsening kidney function while taking this medication. If symptoms of angioedema such as swelling of the face, lips, or tongue occur during treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Patients with heart failure or those who have had a myocardial infarction should monitor kidney function while taking this medication, and caution is needed in certain heart disease patients. This medication can cause a rapid drop in blood pressure, so if symptoms of low blood pressure occur, the patient should be laid down and may require intravenous treatment. Dizziness or fatigue may occur during driving or operation of machinery, so caution is advised. There may be interactions with other drugs, especially when taken with antihypertensives, diuretics, potassium supplements, anti-inflammatory drugs, etc., so it is important to inform healthcare professionals and undergo regular examinations. This medication is not recommended for patients under 18 years of age, as safety and efficacy have not been sufficiently established. In case of overdose, severe hypotension or heart-related symptoms may occur; immediate medical attention should be sought if suspected.
Hives, severe swelling (angioedema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with high fever, blistering, skin peeling, oral/ocular mucosal pain, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, cough with fever and respiratory abnormalities, jaundice (skin or eyes turning yellow), severe malaise, sudden and very severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis

This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to prevent exposure to air or moisture. Additionally, it is recommended to store the medication at room temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius.
