This medicine helps alleviate symptoms caused by gastroesophageal reflux. It particularly relieves symptoms of acid reflux and heartburn, and is also effective for indigestion caused by the backflow of stomach contents. It can be used after meals, during pregnancy, and when associated with reflux esophagitis to improve related symptoms.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults and children over 12 years: Take 10 to 20 mL at a time, 4 times a day (after meals and before bedtime).

Precautions

This medicine should not be taken by people who are allergic to this medicine or its ingredients. Those who need to limit sodium intake, such as patients with heart dysfunction or kidney problems, should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine, as it contains a significant amount of sodium. Additionally, it is important for patients with high calcium levels in the blood or diseases causing calcium accumulation in the kidneys to consult a professional before taking this medicine, as it contains calcium which may worsen symptoms. Generally, children under 12 years old should not take this medicine without a doctor's specific instructions. If symptoms like itching, shortness of breath, or severe allergic reactions occur while taking this medicine, stop taking it immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Moreover, an overdose of this medicine may result in elevated calcium levels in the blood or side effects such as indigestion and constipation, so caution is advised. If symptoms do not improve after 7 days of taking the medicine, be sure to consult a professional. In case of an overdose, visit a hospital immediately for appropriate treatment, and some patients may experience abdominal bloating. This medicine may interact with other medications, so it should be taken at least 2 hours apart from specific drugs such as tetracycline, digoxin, and iron supplements.
