Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome, as it contains lactose. Some patients may experience side effects such as diarrhea, loose stools, dry mouth, or fatigue. Liver function may also be affected, so regular liver function tests should be conducted. Rarely, serious hepatitis, liver dysfunction, or jaundice may occur, so if symptoms are suspected, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. Allergic reactions such as skin rash, hives, or swelling may occur, so caution is advised. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, or taste disturbances have also been reported, and if these symptoms persist, medical personnel should be informed. The effect may be reduced if taken with anticholinergics; thus, dosing intervals should be spaced or discussed with a doctor. Pregnant women or those who might become pregnant should consult a doctor before taking this medication, as its use may not be safe. Women who are breastfeeding should avoid using this medication if possible, as it can be passed into breast milk. If unavoidable, stopping breastfeeding is advisable. Safety in children has not been established, so it is preferable not to use in pediatric patients. Elderly patients may have decreased kidney and liver function, so their condition should be closely monitored, and dosage may need adjustment if necessary. Store the medication out of reach of children and avoid transferring it to other containers, as this may affect product quality.
