This medication helps protect the health of patients by inhibiting thrombus formation in various cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction, and unstable angina. It also prevents thrombus formation after coronary artery bypass surgery or percutaneous coronary intervention, thereby supporting recovery. In high-risk patients with multiple risk factors such as hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, obesity, and diabetes, it plays a role in reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease occurrence. Therefore, this medication is very important in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases and safely improves heart health.
Enteric-coated tablets: Adults should take 1 tablet once a day before meals with adequate water. Enteric-coated capsules: Adults should take 1 capsule once a day before meals with adequate water.
People who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages a day should consult their doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Heavy drinkers are at higher risk of gastrointestinal bleeding when taking this medication. This medication should not be administered to certain patients. For example, patients with allergies to this medication or similar medications, patients with peptic ulcers, patients with aspirin asthma or a history of asthmatic episodes, patients with hemophilia, patients with severe liver or kidney dysfunction, patients with severe heart failure, patients with a tendency to bleed, patients taking high-dose methotrexate, and pregnant women in their third trimester should not use this medication. In addition, this medication should be used cautiously in patients with kidney dysfunction, cardiovascular circulation abnormalities, a history of liver disease, blood disorders, bronchial asthma, preoperative patients, children under the age of 3, patients with hypersensitivity to analgesics or anti-inflammatory drugs, the elderly, patients taking anticoagulants, and patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency. Particularly, this medication can induce hemolytic anemia, so patients with that deficiency should be especially cautious. While taking this medication, abnormal reactions such as severe allergic reactions, skin rashes, shortness of breath, bleeding, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headaches, excitement, hyperventilation, and metabolic acidosis may occur. If these symptoms appear, the medication should be discontinued immediately and medical attention should be sought. This medication can rarely cause a serious disease called Reye's syndrome in children, so it should only be administered cautiously to children under 14 years of age who have chickenpox or influenza, and the patient's condition should be closely monitored after administration. Those who take this medication for an extended period should undergo regular blood tests and liver function tests, and other treatment methods should be considered in conjunction with medication when treating chronic diseases. This medication may interact with other medications, so especially when taking anticoagulants, thrombolytics, diabetes medications, methotrexate, lithium medications, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, digoxin, corticosteroids, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, valproate, alcohol, etc., consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is necessary. Especially in the third trimester of pregnancy, taking this medication can have serious effects on the fetus, so it should not be taken, and if breastfeeding, it is advisable not to take this medication as it can be transmitted through breast milk. The elderly may experience abnormal reactions more easily, so they should start with a small dose and carefully observe the patient's condition while taking it. Care should be taken to prevent damage to the enteric coating, and it is advisable not to take it with certain alkaline agents. Finally, this medication should be kept out of the reach of children, stored in its original container, and tightly closed.
