This medication is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease and erosive reflux esophagitis and to prevent recurrence. It is also used in combination with antibiotics for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori, helping with the treatment and prevention of recurrence in patients with duodenal ulcers and peptic ulcers. It is effective in treating and preventing gastrointestinal symptoms and gastric ulcers caused by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug use. It is also used to treat Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and is suitable for maintenance therapy to prevent rebleeding from gastric or duodenal ulcers. It is widely used for the treatment and prevention of various gastrointestinal diseases.

This drug should not be administered to patients with known hypersensitivity to specific ingredients or benzimidazole derivatives. Patients with allergies to penicillin or macrolide antibiotics should be cautious. Interaction with antibiotics used in the eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection should be considered. It is safer for breastfeeding women not to take this medicine.
