Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who have previously experienced an allergic reaction to its components. Additionally, while taking this medication, symptoms of severe allergic reactions such as shock or anaphylaxis may occur. If symptoms appear, administration should be immediately discontinued and appropriate treatment sought. Since leukocyte or platelet counts may decrease, regular blood tests should be conducted to monitor the condition. As there may be issues with liver function, if liver function test results are abnormal or symptoms of jaundice appear, use should be stopped immediately. Allergic reactions such as hives, rashes, or itching may occur; if these symptoms arise, use of the medication should be discontinued. Neurological symptoms such as dizziness, drowsiness, and numbness may occur, so caution is needed when driving or operating machinery. Gastrointestinal effects may lead to symptoms such as dry mouth, constipation, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and heartburn. If liver enzyme levels rise or fever and rash appear simultaneously, the medication should be stopped immediately and a consultation with a doctor is necessary. Periodic blood tests are required as there may be decreases in platelet counts or changes in leukocyte levels. Rare side effects may include breast pain, breast swelling, milk secretion, palpitations, fever, facial flushing, tongue numbness, cough, respiratory distress, hair loss, menstrual irregularities, and edema. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should carefully consider the risks and benefits of using this medication. Breastfeeding women should avoid breastfeeding as the drug may be transmitted through breast milk. Safety for children, newborns, and especially those with low birth weight has not been sufficiently confirmed, so caution should be exercised in use. Elderly individuals may have reduced physiological functions and may be more sensitive to side effects such as gastrointestinal symptoms, thus careful monitoring is necessary. This medication should be kept out of reach of children in a safe place, and should not be transferred to another container to maintain quality and safety.
