Vitamin D is particularly needed during pregnancy, lactation, growth periods, and old age, and is used to prevent deficiencies in bone and teeth development as well as rickets. It also aids in the supply related to calcium deficiency and is used to alleviate muscle cramps caused by magnesium deficiency. This medication is effective in improving these symptoms and conditions.

How to take

Adult dose

For ages 12 and older: Take 2 tablets twice a day

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with hypercalcemia (high blood calcium levels), sarcoidosis (a systemic inflammatory disease of unknown cause), or kidney disease. Those with allergies to any of the ingredients, infants under 12 months of age, individuals with kidney stones, or severe renal failure should also avoid taking this medication. While taking this drug, do not take drugs such as phosphates, calcium salts, oral tetracycline antibiotics, or antacids simultaneously. Women undergoing treatment, pregnant or possibly pregnant, those who are breastfeeding, premature or young infants, individuals with heart or circulatory problems, those with renal impairment, patients with hypoproteinemia, or those taking cardiac glycosides, and individuals with a history of kidney stones should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, low blood pressure, facial flushing, irregular heartbeat, skin rash, red spots, cardiac arrest, or central nervous system dysfunction occur during treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Additionally, caution is advised as excessive intake or long-term use may lead to hypercalcemia or stone disease. When taken with aldosterone antagonists or triamterene, potassium levels in the blood may rise, necessitating caution. The prescribed dosage and administration must be strictly followed, and it is advisable to avoid tea containing tannins such as green tea or black tea before and after taking this medication.
