This medication is used for myocardial ischemia caused by hypertension, stable angina, or variant angina. Additionally, it helps reduce the risk of hospitalization due to angina in patients recently diagnosed with coronary heart disease through angiography, provided they have no heart failure or an ejection fraction over 40%. Therefore, it is effective in improving symptoms of cardiovascular disease and preventing complications.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication should be taken with sufficient water. Administer 2.5 mg orally once daily as Esamlodipine, and the dosage may be increased up to 5 mg daily based on patient response. Adjust according to symptoms appropriately.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. For example, individuals with allergies to this drug or similar components, pregnant or nursing women, patients in cardiogenic shock, those with severe aortic stenosis, unstable angina, recent myocardial infarction, severe liver dysfunction, severe hypotension, and those with genetic issues such as lactose intolerance should not be administered this medication. Additionally, it should be used with caution in patients with very poor kidney function, the elderly, those with acute heart failure, patients with rapidly increasing blood pressure, and those with moderate liver dysfunction.
