This medication is used to relieve pain associated with chronic arthritis conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, periartritis of the shoulder, toothache, post-traumatic inflammation and pain, low back pain, sciatica, and pain due to non-articular rheumatism.

How to take

Adult dose

As aceclofenac, take 100 mg every 12 hours, twice daily. Do not chew or crush this medication; take it whole. Adjust the dose appropriately as per symptoms. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions, administer at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.

Precautions

This medication may pose a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding in individuals who regularly consume more than three drinks per day, so consultation with a physician or pharmacist is essential. This medication can cause heart and cerebrovascular issues, so individuals with cardiovascular disease risk or risk factors like hypertension, diabetes, or smoking should carefully decide whether to take it. When using this medication, it should be taken for the shortest duration and at the minimum effective dose possible, and treatment effects and symptom improvements should be regularly monitored. Individuals with a history of ulcers or bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract should not take this medication, and older adults or those at high risk for gastrointestinal diseases should exercise extra caution. This medication can cause severe skin rashes or allergic reactions, so if any abnormalities in the skin occur, stop taking it immediately and consult healthcare personnel. It is safest for pregnant women in late pregnancy or breastfeeding women not to use this medication, and strict adherence to a doctor's instructions is required when taken during early to mid-pregnancy. Individuals with impaired kidney or liver function, heart failure patients, hypertension patients, etc., must consult healthcare personnel before taking this medication, and kidney and liver functions should be regularly monitored during treatment. Mild side effects

  • The most commonly reported adverse reactions include gastrointestinal issues, dizziness, and abnormal liver enzyme levels.
  • Rarely, skin adverse reactions including itching, rash, anemia, hyperkalemia, depression, unusual dreams, insomnia, visual disturbances, optic neuritis, sensory abnormalities, tremors, drowsiness, headache, taste abnormalities, neck stiffness, fever, spatial disorientation, confusion, hallucinations, tinnitus, fatigue, palpitations, facial flushing, hypertension, heart failure, and dyspnea may occur.

Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.

This medication should be stored in an airtight container to prevent exposure to air or moisture. The storage temperature should be maintained between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius at room temperature to prolong its efficacy.
