(Hypertension, Angina) Improvement of myocardial ischemia and (cardiovascular risk) reduction of the risk of myocardial infarction and stroke
This medication is used for patients who need to take two drugs, amlodipine and atorvastatin, simultaneously. Amlodipine helps treat hypertension, stable angina, and myocardial ischemia caused by vasoconstriction. It also reduces the risk of hospitalization due to angina and the risk that may occur after coronary artery revascularization. Atorvastatin reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases and is effective in preventing myocardial infarction and stroke. It is also used to improve blood lipid levels in patients with hypercholesterolemia or dyslipidemia. This medication is effectively used to maintain cardiovascular health and reduce the risk of related diseases.
Administer 5 (2.5) mg of amlodipine (as esamlodipine) orally once daily, which may be increased to a maximum of 10 (5) mg daily depending on the patient's response. Adjust dosage appropriately according to symptoms. The recommended initial dose of atorvastatin is 10 mg once daily, but if greater reduction in LDL cholesterol levels is required, it may be started at 20 mg or 40 mg once daily.
