Treatment of inflammatory diseases of the external eye and anterior segment (such as blepharitis, conjunctivitis, etc.)
This medication is used to treat various inflammatory diseases of the external eye and anterior segment, including eyelid inflammation (blepharitis), conjunctivitis, keratitis, scleritis, and iritis. It is also effective in alleviating inflammation that may occur post-surgery, thus reducing discomfort in the eyes and improving inflammatory conditions. Patients can maintain their eye health and relieve pain and symptoms caused by inflammation through this medication.
Instill 1-2 drops 2-4 times a day. Adjust dosage according to symptoms.
This medication should not be used in patients with viral conjunctivitis, fungal eye diseases, mycobacterial infections, or chronic blepharitis. Patients who have had allergic reactions to this medication should also refrain from its use. It is generally not recommended for patients with damaged corneal epithelium, corneal ulcers, or tuberculosis or purulent eye diseases, but may be used very cautiously in critical cases. Caution should also be exercised when using this medication in glaucoma patients or in children under 2 years of age. Prolonged use of this medication may increase eye pressure and lead to glaucoma, so regular eye pressure checks are necessary. In addition, infections such as herpes simplex keratitis or fungal keratitis can develop during use, so appropriate treatment should be sought immediately if such symptoms appear. If there is a wound or trauma to the cornea, this medication may risk causing corneal perforation. Prolonged use may lead to cataracts, and immune function suppression may increase the risk of other eye infections. Acute purulent endophthalmitis may obscure or worsen symptoms, so caution is advised. If inflammation or pain in the eyes persists for more than 48 hours or worsens, discontinue use and consult a physician. If wearing contact lenses, remove the lenses before instilling the medication and reinsert them only after 30 minutes have passed. Temporary blurred vision may occur upon instillation, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery. Individuals who have had chickenpox or measles or those who have not received vaccinations should exercise caution, as the risk of infection may increase during use. Particularly, children or patients taking certain medications may experience systemic side effects with prolonged or intensive use of this medication. Caution should be taken when using this medication in combination with other drugs, and it is essential to consult a physician or pharmacist. The safety of this medication has not been established in pregnant or breastfeeding women, so long-term use is to be avoided. If breastfeeding, the use of this medication should be avoided or breastfeeding should be discontinued. Special attention should also be given when administering this medication to children and the elderly as their body functions may differ. This medication is for ophthalmic use only, and it is important to avoid direct contact of the bottle opening with the eye. Shake well before use, and it is safe not to share with others. When storing, keep in a tightly sealed container away from children, in a cool place protected from direct sunlight, and it is recommended not to transfer to other containers.
