Precautions

This drug contains the antibiotic clindamycin and should not be used by individuals with certain allergic reactions. Especially, those who have experienced hypersensitivity to clindamycin or lincomycin, or have a history of localized colitis, ulcerative colitis, or antibiotic-associated colitis should not use this medication. It is safer for pregnant women, women who may become pregnant, breastfeeding women, and children under 12 years of age to avoid this drug. If you have allergies or hypersensitivity to propylene glycol, use this product cautiously. Individuals with atopic constitution should consult their physician or pharmacist before using this medication. If you experience skin dryness or irritation symptoms such as itching or rash, discontinue use immediately and consult a specialist. Also, if you experience abdominal pain or diarrhea, particularly with bloody stools, it may be a serious side effect like colitis, and you should stop using the drug immediately and seek medical attention. This medication should be used only for the minimum necessary duration to prevent the development of resistant bacteria, and prolonged or excessive use should be avoided. Antibiotic-associated colitis may occur days to months after using this drug, so symptoms should be monitored closely. If colitis symptoms become severe, it is important to discontinue the medication along with appropriate treatment. Avoid getting the drug in your eyes as it may cause irritation; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with clean water. Use caution when applying it near the mouth due to its unpleasant taste, and store it out of reach of children. It is safest to avoid using this drug during pregnancy or breastfeeding, as it may be secreted in breast milk, so it is advised not to use it while nursing. Overuse may have systemic effects, so it is essential to adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration. Finally, this drug should be stored in its original container with the lid tightly closed to maintain its quality.
