This medicine is used to control blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not sufficiently controlled by monotherapy with amlodipine or valsartan.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dose of this medication is one tablet once a day, taken with water regardless of meals. It is advisable to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning).

Child dose

The safety and efficacy of this drug in pediatric patients under 18 years have not been established, so its use is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. It should not be used by individuals who are allergic to this drug's active ingredients or similar class drugs, those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and those with severe kidney or liver dysfunction. Particular caution is needed for diabetics or those with moderate to severe kidney impairment, as taking this drug with certain medications may pose risks. Before taking this medication, check for sodium or fluid depletion and supplement if necessary; if symptoms of hypotension occur, lie the patient down and take necessary actions. Patients with high potassium levels or kidney issues should frequently monitor their potassium levels while taking this drug and discontinue immediately if symptoms of angioedema appear. Caution is advised during driving or operating machinery, as dizziness or fatigue may occur, particularly when first starting the medication due to potential sudden drops in blood pressure, necessitating careful monitoring. Elderly patients can be administered similar doses as adults, but dose adjustments may be necessary if there are issues with kidney or liver function. Severe symptoms such as hypotension, dizziness, and increased heart rate may occur in case of overdose, requiring immediate medical attention.
