Efficacy & effects

Treatment for blood pressure control in essential hypertension

  • Essential hypertension
View approved original text

This medication is used in patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy with Olmesartan Medoxomil and Hydrochlorothiazide. Essential hypertension occurs without a specific cause, and it is important to lower blood pressure reliably. Olmesartan Medoxomil lowers blood pressure, while Hydrochlorothiazide, as a diuretic, helps reduce excessive sodium and fluid in the body to further aid in lowering blood pressure. This combination is an effective alternative when blood pressure is not controlled with mono-treatment. Therefore, this medication is used to improve blood pressure control in essential hypertension.
