Treatment of musculoskeletal disorders (painful muscle spasms) and neurological disorders (stiffness paralysis)
This medication is effective for painful muscle spasms caused by musculoskeletal disorders, such as shoulder-hand syndrome, adhesive capsulitis, and low back pain. It is also used for stiffness paralysis caused by neurological disorders, helping to relieve muscle stiffness in various cerebrospinal diseases, including cerebrovascular disorders, spastic spinal paralysis, and post-surgical or post-trauma sequelae. This medicine helps to reduce muscle tension and alleviate pain, allowing patients to feel comfortable in their daily lives. Therefore, it is highly effective for improving muscle stiffness and pain and is used in the treatment of various neurological and musculoskeletal disorders.
Eperisone Hydrochloride 50 mg should be taken orally three times a day after meals.
This medication should not be administered to certain patients. For example, individuals with allergies to this medication or those with severe myasthenia gravis should not take this drug. Additionally, this drug contains lactose, so it should not be given to patients with genetic disorders that prevent lactose breakdown. Caution is necessary for patients who may experience hypersensitivity to the medication or have liver function issues, as this could worsen liver function. While taking this medication, various side effects may appear, so careful observation is required. Rarely, shock reactions may occur, and if symptoms appear, intake should be immediately stopped, and appropriate treatment should be sought. Abnormal liver or kidney function, as well as blood anomalies, may also occur, necessitating symptom observation. Symptoms such as skin rash or itching, insomnia, drowsiness, headaches, nausea, abdominal pain, and urinary retention may appear; occasionally systemic symptoms such as weakness or dizziness may also be experienced. If serious skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome appear, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare provider. During treatment, drowsiness or decreased concentration may occur, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery. Furthermore, when using this medication alongside similar drugs, the risk of side effects may increase, so it is essential to consult with a professional. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully consider the risks and benefits when using this medication, and nursing mothers should avoid taking it if possible or discontinue breastfeeding. Safety in children has not been sufficiently confirmed, so use in children should be cautious. Older adults may have reduced physical function, so dosage adjustments may be needed.
