Relief of inflammation and pain such as rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis
This medication is used for joint-related diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoarthritis. It is also effective for pain associated with inflammation around the scapulohumeral area, toothache, post-traumatic inflammation, low back pain, and sciatica. It helps relieve pain due to non-articular rheumatism. This drug is used to alleviate inflammation and pain in various joints and tissues.
Administer 100 mg of aceclofenac orally every 12 hours, twice a day. For patients with liver impairment, initiate dosing at 100 mg once daily. This medication should not be chewed or crushed but taken whole. Adjust according to symptoms. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions, it should be given at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible.
This medication may cause gastrointestinal bleeding if taken by individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day, so consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is necessary. This medication can affect the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular systems, so patients with risk factors such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and smoking should make careful decisions regarding its use. The longer the dosage and duration, the higher the risk to the cardiovascular system, so it should be used at the minimum effective dose for the shortest duration possible. Severe gastrointestinal side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforation may occur; therefore, elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases need to be cautious. It should not be taken by those with active peptic ulcers or bleeding, or those with an allergy to this medication or similar medications. Patients with a history of asthma, hives, or allergic reactions should also avoid this drug for safety. Patients with heart failure, severe kidney or liver disease, pregnant women in late pregnancy, nursing mothers, and patients with inflammatory bowel disease should not use this medication. Patients with renal impairment, heart failure, elderly individuals, and those with a history of asthma should use this medication with caution, closely monitoring for symptoms and side effects while taking it. Commonly reported adverse reactions include gastrointestinal disturbances, dizziness, elevated liver enzyme levels, while rare reactions may include skin rash, blood abnormalities, and cardiovascular issues. During treatment, regular checks of blood pressure, liver function, and kidney function are needed, and a physician should be consulted immediately if abnormal symptoms occur. Due to numerous drug interactions, especially with anticoagulants, diuretics, antidiabetic agents, lithium, and methotrexate, patients taking these medications must consult with a doctor. Pregnant women, especially in the late stages of pregnancy, should avoid this medication as it may pose risks to the fetus; women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should refrain from using it. For breastfeeding mothers, as it is uncertain whether this medication is excreted in breast milk, it is recommended to either stop breastfeeding or avoid taking this medication. Dizziness or drowsiness may occur; therefore, caution is advised when driving or operating hazardous machinery. This medication should be used at the minimum dose for the shortest time possible, and regular check-ups are necessary if taken over a long period. In cases of overdose, gastrointestinal irritation, hypotension, respiratory depression, and seizures may occur, and immediate medical attention is necessary.
