1. For gastric and duodenal ulcers, anastomotic ulcers, upper gastrointestinal hemorrhage, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: Take 20 mg orally, twice a day (after breakfast, after dinner, or at bedtime) or take 40 mg once a day (at bedtime). Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who are allergic to specific ingredients or have a genetic lactose metabolism disorder. Patients with a history of drug allergies, renal, hepatic, or cardiac diseases, and the elderly should exercise special caution when using this medication. Though rare, this medication can cause serious allergic reactions, blood abnormalities, skin disorders, liver function impairment, muscle problems, cardiac rhythm disturbances, neurological disorders, kidney damage, and pulmonary diseases, among other serious side effects, so if any abnormal symptoms occur during use, medical personnel should be consulted immediately. Generally, it is recommended to use the minimum necessary dosage while closely monitoring the treatment course, and if no effect is seen, switching to other treatments is advisable. This medication should be swallowed with saliva or water, as it dissolves in the mouth but is not absorbed through the oral mucosa. Patients undergoing hemodialysis should be cautious as the effectiveness of this medication may decrease when combined with certain phosphate binders. Interactions with other medications may occur, so special caution is needed, especially when taking antifungal or certain anticancer drugs. The elderly often have diminished renal function, which may increase the drug concentration, so dosage adjustments may be necessary. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication when the benefits outweigh the risks, and nursing mothers are advised to discontinue breastfeeding during use. Safety in children has not been sufficiently confirmed, so caution should be exercised in their use. In particular, for the orally disintegrating tablet form, it should be placed on the tongue and allowed to dissolve in saliva before swallowing, and should not be taken while lying down without water. This medication may mask symptoms of stomach cancer, so it should only be used after confirming malignancy.
