Improvement of musculoskeletal pain and spastic paralysis caused by neurological disorders
This medicine is effective for alleviating pain-related muscle spasms accompanying musculoskeletal diseases, such as cervical spondylosis, shoulder periarthritis, and low back pain. Additionally, it is used for spastic paralysis due to neurological diseases and helps improve symptoms associated with various cerebrospinal disorders, including cerebrovascular disorders, spastic spinal paralysis, cervical spondylosis, sequelae after surgery and trauma, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and cerebral palsy. Therefore, it is effective for relieving patients' pain and improving muscle rigidity.
As Eperisone Hydrochloride, take 50 mg orally three times a day after meals. Adjust dosage as appropriate based on age and symptoms.
This medication should not be used by certain patients. First, anyone who has had an allergic reaction to this medication should not take it. Additionally, patients suffering from diseases that cause severe muscle weakness should avoid this medication. This medication contains lactose, so individuals with a genetic disorder that prevents lactose digestion should not take it. There are also patients who require special caution when using this medication. Individuals with a history of drug allergies should take it carefully, and patients with liver function issues should be aware that this medication may worsen their liver condition. Rarely, a severe allergic reaction called shock may occur when taking this medication, and if symptoms appear, it should be discontinued immediately and appropriate treatment should be sought. Liver function tests may show elevated levels, so regular monitoring of liver status is recommended, and if abnormalities are found, medication should be stopped. It may also affect kidney function, so kidney function tests are necessary, and if any issues are detected, use should be halted. Blood tests may show signs of anemia, so symptoms should be monitored. Skin rashes or itching may occur, as well as mental symptoms such as insomnia, drowsiness, headache, tingling in limbs, stiffness, or tremors. Gastrointestinal symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, diarrhea, or constipation. In the urinary system, symptoms such as difficulty urinating or incontinence, and a feeling of residual urine may occur rarely. Systemically, symptoms of lethargy, dizziness, and reduced muscle tension may be present, as well as facial flushing or excessive sweating, and swelling may occur rarely. In severe cases, symptoms of severe allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis or serious skin rashes and blisters may occur, and if these symptoms present, usage should be stopped immediately. During the course of taking this medication, symptoms such as weakness, dizziness, and drowsiness may arise, and if such symptoms occur, it is advisable to reduce or discontinue the dose. Additionally, drowsiness or decreased attention may occur, so it is recommended to avoid driving or operating dangerous machinery while taking this medication. Care should be taken not to use this medication in conjunction with other muscle relaxants, as it may cause problems with visual control. Pregnant women or women who might become pregnant should use this medication only if necessary, as its safety is not well established, and nursing mothers should avoid taking it or discontinue breastfeeding during use. The safety of this medication has not been sufficiently validated for children; therefore, caution is advised in its use, and in elderly patients, as bodily functions may decline, careful adjustment of the dosage is needed.
