Precautions

This medication contains lactose, so it should not be used in patients with genetic problems such as galactose intolerance, lactose deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. During the administration of this drug, side effects such as diarrhea, loose stools, dry mouth, and fatigue may occur. Serious side effects such as liver dysfunction or acute hepatitis can rarely occur; therefore, if symptoms appear, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a hospital. Allergic reactions such as skin rash, urticaria, and edema, as well as gastrointestinal symptoms including abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting have also been reported. If symptoms do not improve after taking this medication for more than 2 weeks, prolonged use is not recommended. When taken with anticholinergics, the effectiveness of this medication may be reduced, so caution is needed when using both medications together by adjusting the dosing intervals. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should only use this medication when the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks, as its safety has not been established. If breast-feeding, the medication may be passed into breast milk, so it's recommended to avoid taking it, or to stop breastfeeding if possible. The safety in children has not been adequately confirmed, so it is not recommended for use in children. Elderly patients may experience decreased kidney and liver function, so their condition should be closely monitored during use. If adverse reactions occur, the dosage should be reduced or appropriate measures should be taken. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, and transferring it to other containers can compromise quality, so care should be taken.
