This medication is effective for inflammatory joint diseases such as chronic polyarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. It also helps relieve pain and inflammation caused by osteoarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. It is used to reduce painful swelling and inflammation that occurs after trauma or surgery. Additionally, it assists in the treatment of infections accompanied by inflammation, pain, and fever. Overall, it is used to improve various inflammatory diseases and pain.

How to take

Adult dose

Administer 300 mg of dexibuprofen orally 2 to 4 times daily, not exceeding 1,200 mg of dexibuprofen per day.

Precautions

This medication can cause gastric bleeding if taken by individuals who regularly consume more than three drinks per day, so consultation with a doctor or pharmacist is essential. This medication may affect the cardiovascular system, increasing the risk of serious vascular problems such as myocardial infarction and stroke. Individuals with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors should be particularly cautious, and if symptoms appear, they should consult medical personnel immediately. This medication can cause serious side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforation, particularly in the elderly. It is crucial to immediately evaluate and treat any gastrointestinal symptoms during use. Individuals with a history of gastric ulcers or bleeding, severe liver, kidney, or heart diseases, or allergies to aspirin or similar drugs should not take this medication. Taking this medication with aspirin or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may increase the risk of gastric bleeding and decrease efficacy, so co-administration should be avoided. During treatment, breastfeeding should be stopped or the medication should be discontinued, as dizziness and fatigue may occur, necessitating caution while driving or operating machinery. Individuals with specific health conditions such as blood disorders, liver and kidney diseases, hypertension, or a history of allergies should consult medical personnel before use. If serious adverse reactions occur, such as shock, severe skin rashes, difficulty breathing, severe gastrointestinal symptoms, or abnormalities in liver function, use should be stopped immediately, and consultation with medical personnel is required. This medication should be used at the minimum effective dose for the shortest duration, and regular blood tests and liver and kidney function tests are necessary during long-term use. Caution is needed when using after 20 weeks of pregnancy due to possible effects on fetal kidney function, and it is advisable to regularly check the amniotic fluid condition. In the case of overdose, even if there are no symptoms, prompt medical treatment should be sought. Keep the medication out of reach of children, store away from direct sunlight, and in a cool place with low humidity.
