Treatment of myocardial ischemia caused by hypertension and coronary artery disease (stable and variant angina), and reduction of risk for hospitalization due to angina and vascular interventions.
This medication is used to treat myocardial ischemia due to hypertension, stable angina, or variant angina. It also helps reduce the risk of hospitalization due to angina and the risk related to coronary artery revascularization in patients with recently confirmed coronary artery disease who do not have heart failure or have a cardiac output of more than 40%. Therefore, it is utilized as an effective therapeutic agent for managing cardiovascular diseases.
The adult dose is 5 mg of amlodipine taken orally once daily, which can be increased to a maximum of 10 mg daily based on the patient's response. Dosage may be adjusted appropriately based on age and symptoms.
