This medication helps inhibit thrombus formation in conditions such as myocardial infarction, cerebral infarction, and unstable angina. It also has the effect of inhibiting thrombus formation after coronary artery bypass surgery or percutaneous coronary intervention. Furthermore, it is used to reduce cardiovascular risk in high-risk patients with multiple risk factors such as a family history of ischemic heart disease, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, obesity, and diabetes. Thus, this medication aids in the prevention of thrombus and in the improvement of cardiovascular health in various cardiovascular diseases and situations.

How to take

Adult dose

(Enteric-coated tablets) Adults take 1 tablet once daily, can be taken before meals with sufficient water. (Enteric-coated capsules) Adults take 1 capsule once daily, can be taken before meals with sufficient water.

Precautions

Individuals who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily should consult a physician or pharmacist before taking this medication. Heavy drinkers may have an increased risk of gastrointestinal bleeding while taking this medication. This medication should not be used in individuals with hypersensitivity to salicylates, peptic ulcers, aspirin-induced asthma, hemophilia, severe liver dysfunction, severe kidney dysfunction, severe heart failure, or a tendency to bleed. Additionally, pregnant women in the third trimester or those taking high doses of methotrexate should not use this medication. Patients with kidney dysfunction, cardiovascular abnormalities, liver dysfunction, blood disorders, bronchial asthma, pre-operative patients, children under 3 years old, patients with a history of allergies, elderly patients, patients taking anticoagulants, and those with G6PD deficiency should use this medication with caution and should be carefully monitored for unusual symptoms. This medication can cause various adverse reactions, including severe allergic reactions, skin disorders, blood abnormalities, gastrointestinal disturbances, neurological symptoms, liver dysfunction, and kidney dysfunction. If symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. This medication should be used cautiously in children under 14 with chickenpox or influenza, and patient status should be monitored closely after administration. This medication is considered symptomatic treatment for pain and fever, and regular check-ups and appropriate management are required during long-term use. Symptoms such as hypothermia, weakness, cold extremities may occur after taking the medication, so particular caution should be taken with children, the elderly, and patients with wasting diseases. Since infections may be concealed, this medication should be used carefully with appropriate antibacterial drugs during the treatment of infections. Taking this medication within one week of surgery may increase the risk of bleeding, so consult with a physician if you have surgical plans. Overdose of this medication can cause toxicity, which, in severe cases, can be life-threatening. When combined with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, the effectiveness may decrease, or the risk of bleeding may increase, so consultation with a specialist is essential. This medication should particularly not be taken during the third trimester of pregnancy and should only be used in the minimum effective dose and duration during the first and second trimesters if necessary. If nursing, it is better to avoid this medication as it may be transferred to breast milk. Interactions

Drug interactions

This medication may increase the risk of bleeding and decrease kidney function when used in conjunction with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and salicylate preparations. It should not be coadministered with methotrexate at doses higher than 15 milligrams. Additionally, consult a physician before using it with anticoagulants, ibuprofen, naproxen, or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, thrombolytics, other platelet aggregation inhibitors, hemostatic agents, diabetes medications, uricosurics, or thiazide diuretics.
