How to take

Adult dose

Gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer: Administer 10 mg orally once daily. Depending on the symptoms, 20 mg may be administered once daily. Treatment for gastric ulcers is for 8 weeks and for duodenal ulcers for 6 weeks. Erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease: Administer 10 mg or 20 mg once daily for 4-8 weeks. Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. Patients who are allergic or have had hypersensitivity reactions to this drug or its components, and those allergic to penicillin or macrolide antibiotics used to eradicate Helicobacter pylori infection should not take this medication. Additionally, certain heart-related medications or antivirals, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not take this drug. Patients with liver problems, elderly individuals, and those with a history of drug allergies should exercise caution when using this medication. This drug contains Yellow No. 4 as a coloring agent, and caution is advised if there is an allergy to this component. While taking this medication, allergic symptoms such as skin rashes and itching may occur, and if such symptoms appear, treatment should be stopped immediately. Various side effects such as changes in blood cell counts, liver dysfunction, heart problems, gastrointestinal abnormalities, neurological issues, respiratory problems, muscle pain, and skin abnormalities have been reported, necessitating regular check-ups. Long-term use of this medication may increase the risk of bone fractures, and low magnesium levels in the blood may occur, so magnesium levels should be checked if necessary. Additionally, this medication can suppress gastric acid secretion, which may increase the risk of bacterial infections in the stomach, so if diarrhea persists, medical consultation should be sought. Caution is needed as drowsiness may occur while driving or operating machinery. This drug can interact with other medications, so consulting a specialist is necessary, especially when used in combination with warfarin, methotrexate, antibiotics, and antivirals. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not use this medication, and elderly individuals should be cautious due to a higher risk of side effects from impaired liver function. The safety of this drug has not been established in children, so it is not recommended for use in the pediatric population. When taking, the tablet should be swallowed whole without chewing or crushing, and it should be stored out of the reach of children.
