This medication is effective for various joint diseases such as chronic polyarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It is also used to alleviate painful swelling and inflammation that occurs after trauma or surgery. It plays a supporting role in the treatment of conditions accompanied by inflammation, pain, and fever caused by infections. Thus, it helps improve various inflammatory diseases and painful conditions. Therefore, this medication is used to treat joint and inflammation-related diseases.

How to take

Adult dose

As dexibuprofen, administer 300 mg once, 2 to 4 times daily orally. However, do not exceed 1,200 mg of dexibuprofen in one day.

Precautions

This medication should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist before taking, especially for those who regularly consume more than 3 glasses of alcohol daily, as there is an increased risk of gastrointestinal bleeding when taken with alcohol. This medication can affect the cardiovascular system and potentially increase the risk of serious cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction and stroke. Individuals with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors should closely monitor cardiovascular symptoms while taking this medication. This medication may burden the stomach, and there is a risk of serious gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations. Caution is required when driving or operating machinery, as dizziness or drowsiness may occur while taking this medication. Before taking this medication, individuals with a history of blood disorders, liver dysfunction, kidney dysfunction, high blood pressure, heart failure, or hypersensitivity should consult their doctor or pharmacist. This medication should not be taken, especially after the sixth month of pregnancy, as it may affect the fetus, and women planning to become pregnant should consult beforehand. If unusual symptoms such as skin rash, breathing difficulties, severe abdominal pain, hematuria, or severe headaches occur while taking this medication, it should be stopped immediately and a doctor should be consulted. Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take this medication with aspirin, other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or high-dose methotrexate (more than 15 mg/week) used in chemotherapy. Before taking this medication, do not take corticosteroids, alcohol, digoxin, phenytoin, probenecid, sulfinpyrazone, sulfonylureas, ACE inhibitors, angiotensin II receptor antagonists, diuretics, lithium, warfarin or other coumarin anticoagulants.

Storage

This medication may be sensitive to air or moisture, so it should be stored in a sealed container. Additionally, to maintain the effectiveness of the medication, it is recommended to store it at room temperature, ideally between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius.
